Great Win!

A fantastic win today against a good Bergsvilken team!

We went up early by a lot of points... with lights out shooting performance from AK Blom, who was the games top scorer (15 points) Then it looked like the visiting team woke up! They played some good basketball to bring themselves back into the game.

We had problems executing our offense in the half-court - turning the ball over under pressure and allowing them easy shot opportunities.

The end of first quarter, the score was : 20-8.

The game went on with some great fast-break baskets and dribble-drive moves to the basket by Johannson (10 points). Lisa S (11 points) was a monster on the boards - chasing every missed shot.

Ofelia (3 points), Anna and Julia (6 points) provided great sparks of energy of the bench.

Lindblom (BIRTHDAY GIRL) had some strong performances rebounding the basketball and playing good defense.

They began to put a lot of pressure on the off-guards and we struggled to get into flow on offense in the second half. Good strong rebounding off a freethrow miss, Edstrom (8 points) collected and scored.

However, in the 4th we allowed them to crawl back into the game. Even though we had been in the driving seat the entire game, it looked like Bergsviken were still ready to fight for a win.

It got close in the 4th quarter. However, with our pressure defense we kept our lead and closed out the game with a good 8 point win!

A good performance for our team given the fact we have not had a full practice together in two weeks!

Well done, ladies! I am looking forward to the game away to Kalix!
