As I said at the end of the game... a really fantastic performance!
I was very happy to see players learn as the game went on and for those coming off the bench, I was glad that they came in with energy right away.
Coach Jenny encouraged me to write a little report about the game and I explained that I find it difficult because I would like to mention everyone individually and comment on their performance (whether they played 1 minute or 30 minutes). However, I will do my best to mention some of the good things I saw today.
First of all, Lisa Sjostrom is a beast! I am always overwhelmed at her hustle and passion for rebounding the basketball. It is an amazing quality to have as a basketball player and I would hope all of us could learn to box out and fight for rebounds the way that she does, consistently each game.
Erika Johansson was a super offensive spark today; something that I would like to see more of. Finding her way to the basket or running the fast break. The other Erika ('wee' Erika, maybe) worked exceptionally hard on both ends - this is one of the reason's she is coming off the bench. She brings the energy!
Lisa Astrom was fantastic leading the team at the point guard position. I feel that she really picked out her options well and helped move the ball from corner to corner.
Elin Lindblom, only had 6 points, but every time I see someone driving to the basket or Sjostrom catches the ball up top, she always seems to be in the 'right spot' at the 'right time'.
I truly was happy with each persons effort and hustle when they stepped on to the court. I hope that we can bring the energy game after game and play as hard as we played today.

I just got back from my first game (playing!) in about 18 months! It was so fun to be a part of a team of guys, who all wanted to help their team succeed. I was impressed with the chemistry as I sat on the bench. Every person that played came off the court and got a high-five 'och "Bra Jobbat!"
I thought about this during the game; what a wonderful feeling both as the player coming off the floor and the guys sitting on the bench!
Think about when a player comes out of a game... they have worked hard for the team and so the team should work hard to support them. I hope that we can be as encouraging on the bench with each other; clapping, high-fiving, 'bra-jobbat', as players come out of the game; regardless of whether they played well or not!
I love this quote by Mark Twain, the famous American writer;
”Keep away from people who belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”
- Mark Twain
We will see you Tuesday! Bra Jobbat!

I'm not going to be able to practice today. I'm still sore after the game and my knee has been hurting since the game on sunday so I will be on the bench tonight or just practice shooting.

It's the same for me, I'm not going to be able to practice today. I have a sore throat and cough. So I just do some shooting today!
